Red Meat and its Impact

During this season of warm weather we need to be aware of  what we eat. Have you notice that when you  eat beef or pork, your body heats up? It's much harder to digest read meat, especially if you are not in good health. Not only is red meat hard to digest, it can raise your bad cholesterol. Are you aware that cows are vegetarian, but we eat their meat?  There are so many studies on its negative affect regarding high cholesterol and high blood pressure. These issues have a huge impact on heart disease, the number one killer in this country.  Hamburgers and other fast foods are also having a terrible affect on the obesity epidemic with our children. Let's make a few changes in our habits. Can you make a commitment to limit or avoid red meat? Do it for at least two weeks and see if you start feeling better. Increase your water intact so you can flush your system. What are your thoughts?  Please listen to me todat at 3:45 Central on Heaven 97, KHVN.

  1. I've done the exodus from red meats in the past and you are so right, you feel so much better. I'm looking to start a Superfoods diet. Any suggestions?

  2. Spirulina, Green Magma and Wheatgrass are good starters. I usually drink Green Magma or Wheatgrass in the morning in a glass of water or you can add them to your breakfast smoothie. These are packed with nutrients for energy and also boost the immune system. My suggestion is that you eat from a broad spectrum of vegetables, fruits and include whole grains and seeds. Make sure your plate is colorful. Don't forget the high quality water.
